Based in Washington, D.C., Timothy “Tim” Batchelor is known for his work on national security policy. He currently serves as chairman of the board of directors for Subsea Engineering, Inc., and REDOT Media Opportunities Capital Corp III in New York City. Timothy Batchelor also belongs to the Federalist Society.
The Federalist Society for Law and Public Policy is a space for libertarians and conservatives to meet and discuss the current state of the legal order. The organization was founded based on three principles: separation of governmental powers is essential, the state exists to preserve freedom, and the judicial branch should focus on what the law is not what it should be.
The Federalist Society is open to anyone who is interested. There are many membership benefits. Members enjoy interaction with other like-minded individuals, including prominent public officials and judges. In addition to the organization’s quarterly newsletter, members receive special invitations to national events and conventions. Additionally, Federalist Society members are entitled to a membership to the Practice Groups and a subscription to ABA Watch Emails.
